“Without music, life would be a mistake.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche, Twilight of the Idols
Some movies come forward by their directors, some by their actors, and some by the screenplay. But, there is always a hidden star between successful movies which is the soundtrack. Soundtracks are like the guy who starts clapping his hands when the movie begins and cries in the dramatic scenes. After him, everybody starts to applause or cry. So, soundtracks basically help you understand the mood of the scene. But, some movies use soundtracks in a different way where soundtracks become one of the protagonists of the movie. And these are the movies where soundtracks have a meaning or special importance in the movie.

Inception
Although Hans Zimmer's "Time" is one of the greatest soundtracks of all time, in this writing we will focus also on another soundtrack which is Edith Piaf's "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien". Christopher Nolan is a true genius, but his team is also made of a bunch of other geniuses and Hans Zimmer is also one of those geniuses. That's why he added a tiny detail to the movie which actually changes lots of things. In the movie, Edith Piaf's song is played to change reality. However, when we look at the main theme of the movie, we see that it has the slowed version of the beginning of Edith Piaf's song. This was first noticed by a youtube user. But it is still a mystery whether every scene where we hear the main theme is actually a dream or a normal soundtrack.

Star Wars
Star Wars includes many great soundtracks composed by John Williams, but one soundtrack has literally become the sound of evil. When you hear the notes of it, Darth Vader appears suddenly, choking people with force. This epic soundtrack is of course "The Imperial March". Imperial March is so iconic that has become a leitmotiv and a symbol of evil. Speaking of leitmotivs of John Williams, we have another epic soundtrack by John Williams as the next movie soundtrack.

Jaws
John Williams is a great composer, many of his songs have parts that are som similar to other classical music pieces. But he is like Quentin Tarantino's soundtrack composer version. He searches songs, mixes different songs, then adds his own parts. And, ta-dah... An iconic soundtrack is composed. Jaws also have some parts similar to other classical music pieces like one of the pieces of Dvořák at the start, some different waltz melodies, and even McDonalds songs at one point. However, this doesn't change the fact that this song makes you imagine that shark-eating people in the sea, searching for you to have a delicious dinner.

Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction is actually in this list, as the delegate of all the Quentin Tarantino movies, because soundtracks and music have a huge role in Quentin Tarantino's movies. Tarantino likes to listen to music while writing his movies and sometimes directing them. (It would be super fun to be at one of Tarantino movie's set.) So, he wants also the audience to listen to those movies to feel his mood while writing and directing those movies. Tarantino chooses every music carefully from his wide music library. And as it is one of the movies where Tarantino used music most wisely, Pulp Fiction entered our list with its awesome soundtracks.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Marvel has many soundtracks which are composed to give you that "Avengers Assemble" ambiance. And although they play that Avengers theme literally everywhere, Guardians of the Galaxy's "Awesome Mix" is different. Guardians of the Galaxy isn't a typical Marvel movie. It doesn't have super powerful characters. It consists of 1 normal human who doesn't have super strength or super intelligence, 2 warrior human-like aliens, 1 raccoon with a gun, and a tree. The storyline is just made of a classic fight against a powerful villain. So something has to make the movie different and special. And that thing is its soundtrack. I am still listening to "Awesome Mix Vol1 and Vol2" without skipping any of the songs.
More movies with meaningful songs and movies where the soundtrack was playing a huge role, can be listed. But these movies and their soundtracks impressed us, so we tried to list the movies with the greatest and most meaningful soundtracks. If you haven't watched these movies, yet you can enjoy all of the movies here and their epic soundtracks. And if these soundtracks and movies aren't enough for you,
Here are other great movies with the best soundtracks:
A Star Is Born: The whole movie is full of great songs.
The Graduate: I have only two words: Simon and Garfunkel
The Lion King: Never thought Elton John and Hans Zimmer would be a great duo until I watched this movie.
Mission Impossible: That theme...
Forrest Gump: It doesn't have an original soundtrack, but it is like the movie form of American music history.
Mama Mia!: AᗺBA (This was the best-mirrored B letter I could do, sorry)
Greatest Showman: I loved this movies' soundtracks because they are like real pop songs, not a piece of classic soundtrack music. Nowadays pop music isn't interesting for me, but still, this movie's soundtracks are great.
Lord of the Rings: Lord of the Rings isn't famous for its soundtracks that much, but that cute soundtracks which sound like medieval music make the movies even more enjoyable in my opinion.
The Godfather: I am going to make you an offer you can't refuse and it is its soundtrack. It is legendary.
